“Ali Dibble (works in the events and marketing industry) and James Broomer (an engineering manager) started their relationship in Shanghai, China, where they both lived at the time. After getting engaged, they spent 18 months planning their Wisconsin wedding from abroad. “Shanghai is a bustling metropolis of 25 million people, so something we both agreed on was a desire to have our celebration away from city life, somewhere surrounded by trees and nature,” Ali says. Their venue, Garden Gables, perfectly suited their vision of a rustic outdoor wedding. A color scheme of sage green, golden yellow, ivory and bright coral highlighted the country-inspired décor pieces, which included a flower-covered ceremony arch, handmade signage and a distressed wood pergola.
